A native of Schenectady, New York, Ms. Savoy completed The Metropolitan Opera’s Lindemann Young Artist Development Program, and holds Bachelor and Master of Music degrees in Vocal Performance from The Juilliard School.
Notable appearances include her Metropolitan Opera debut as Kristina in Leoš Janáček’s The Makropulos Case, conducted by Jiří Bělohlávek; Fiordiligi in Mozart’s Così fan tutte, conducted by Alan Gilbert, and Armide in Gluck’s Armide, conducted by Jane Glover, with the MET and Juilliard ensemble; Contessa in Mozart’s Le nozze di Figaro and Anne Sexton in Conrad Susa’s Transformations with Juilliard Opera; performances with Yo-Yo Ma and the Silk Road Ensemble; soprano solo parts in Handel’s Messiah, Mendelssohn’s Paulus and Elijah, and in Britten’s War Requiem with the Oratorio Society of New York at Carnegie Hall, conducted by Kent Tritle; Anna in Schubertstrasse 200 at the Salzburger Landestheater with the Mozarteum Orchestra Salzburg, conducted by Adrian Kelly; and Queen Isabella in de Falla’s Atlántida with the New York Philharmonic.
A deeply compelling artist, she was awarded the 2013 Leonore Annenberg Fellowship, the 2012 Hildegard Behrens Foundation Award, and the 2011 Leonie Rysanek Grand Prix from the George London Foundation.
In 2015, she became the First Prize-Winner at the prestigious ARD International Music Competition in Munich, Germany.
Emalie Savoy has participated in in the Musical Olympus International Festival in St.Petersburg in 2016.
